NAS MERIDIAN MS JET ENGINE TEST CELL & KINGSVILLE TX JET ENGINE TEST CELL

Swanda Brothers is currently working with a design build firm as the major subcontractor for the fabrication and installation of two jet engine test cell facilities for the US Department of The Navy. The first project is located in Meridian, Mississippi and the second is located in Kingsville, Texas. Swanda Brothers has been instrumental in providing a new design on the Navy’s existing after burner jet engine test cell facility. This is the first time since the late 1970’s any major changes to the design has occurred on these jet engine test cells.

These new, cost saving designs have been accomplished without changing any of the airflow dynamics of the jet engine test cell. One of the better design changes involves an entire new turning vane lifting system that is more cost effective, requires less maintenance, is safer, and operates much more trouble free than the old design.

Most of the fabrication on these jet engine test cell projects is complete and Swanda Brothers is now in the process of installing these fabricated components.
